Grizzli ("we", "us", "our") is a software product built in Canada for Canadian contractors. It includes the grizzli.app website and the Grizzli mobile app, an AI assistant that helps contractors quote, schedule, invoice, and reply to clients. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are.
We collect your phone number (to notify you when the app launches) and your trade type (to understand our early users). We also collect standard website analytics (page views, device type, browser). We do not use tracking cookies or sell your data to third parties.
Grizzli is a voice-first assistant. To provide the service and to find and fix its mistakes, we collect:
We use this information to run the service for you, to find and fix errors, and to keep the product safe. We do not sell your data.
The client details you store in Grizzli (names, phone numbers, addresses, quotes, invoices, messages) belong to your business. We process them only to provide the service to you. We do not use your clients' personal information to train AI models for other customers.
When Grizzli's assistant texts or answers calls on your behalf, it identifies itself as your business's automated assistant. Every message identifies your business, and recipients can reply STOP at any time to opt out of promotional messages.
We use trusted service providers to run Grizzli: Google (AI processing), Deepgram (speech to text), Twilio (text messages and calls), ElevenLabs (voice calls), Cloudflare (file storage), Railway and Supabase (servers and database), Resend (email), and PostHog (usage analytics). Some of these providers process data in the United States. This means your information may be processed in a foreign country and may be accessible to law enforcement and national security authorities of that country under its laws. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest, and access is restricted to essential personnel only.
If you join the waitlist, you consent to receive a one-time SMS notification when Grizzli launches. Messages sent through the app identify the sending business and honor STOP requests. Message and data rates may apply. We comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Voice audio is kept for 30 days. Technical interaction records are kept for 90 days. Your business records (quotes, jobs, invoices, clients) are kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to, we delete your data and your clients' data from our systems. Clips or records kept as bug test cases may be retained with identifying details removed.
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hi@grizzli.app.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll notify you directly.
